- The ASI4400MC Pro is a new member of the ZWO full frame deep space camera family, positioned between the ASI6200MC Pro and ASI2400MC Pro, balancing image quality and efficiency, providing users with more flexible choices in the full frame field.
- The ASI4400MC Pro adopts a full frame back illuminated sensor with a length and width of 36mm x 24mm and a diagonal of 43.3mm. The camera has a total pixel count of 44 million, and the 4.4μm pixel size can accommodate a well depth of 74600e.
- The ASI4400MC Pro is equipped with a 14bit ADC, with a dynamic range exceeding 13 levels. This means that in one exposure, it can balance both bright and dark details, providing more space for post production and presenting natural and delicate deep space images.
- The ASI4400MC Pro camera adopts the glow suppression technology developed by ZWO to effectively control the chip's glow, greatly improving the camera's photographic performance. This technology is directly implemented at the hardware level without the need for software control. (*Glow suppression technology can significantly reduce the glow of CMOS chips, but it is not completely eliminated. The camera still produces a certain amount of glow, but on the basis of glow suppression, there is no impact on image quality after dark field calibration.)
- The ASI4400MC Pro is equipped with a USB3.0 transmission interface and a built-in 512MB DDR3 cache, ensuring stable and secure data transmission.
- Target plane adjustment: Three sets of screws are designed on the camera target plane, each consisting of two screws that can be pushed and pulled to adjust the sensor to align with the focal plane of the main lens.
- Quantum efficiency: According to calculations, the peak quantum efficiency of ASI4400MC Pro can reach 80%.
- The front of the sensor of the ASI4400MC Pro camera is equipped with a UV-IR Cut filter as a protective window to protect the sensor from external damage, while effectively reducing infrared interference and improving image quality.
