- Antlia Solar Discover 5A (0.5nm) CaK is a component composed of an adapter ERF, Antlia 5A (0.5nm) CaK 393.3nm, and a filter, which maximizes the imaging contrast of sunspots, solar surface particles, CaK 393.3nm lines, solar spectral patterns, and other prominent features. Compared to 3nm CaK, it is also very excellent on the upper surface of the chromosphere. Significantly better than the surface on a 3nm optical sphere layer.
- This component includes an Antlia 5A (0.5nm) ultra narrow bandpass filter with a wavelength centered around CaIIK 393.3nm. The high barrier specification of OD5 (0.001%) at 200-1200nm wavelength can reduce the intrusion of solar heat. This heat reduction system can effectively maintain the instrument at a safe operating temperature, thereby extending the service life of the equipment.
- It is worth noting that due to the low sensitivity of the eyes to CaK frequency, the bandpass of CaK (393nm) makes it almost impossible for the human eye to see the characteristics of the sun. Therefore, it is not recommended to use the Antlia Solar Discover CaK component for visual observation.
