Design and durability
Introduction:
- Lightweight and portable, only 790g.
- With a load capacity of 4kg and a harmonic reducer, even the heaviest load does not require a counterweight.
- Mode switching: solar time, lunar time, landscape mode, sidereal time, one click switch between Northern and Southern Hemisphere.
- Electronic/optical polar scope (optional).
- Silent design, quiet and comfortable.
- Fully CNC processed, with artistic quality.
Installation and Use:
1. Install the latitude adjustment base: Securely install the latitude adjustment base onto the tripod platform.
2. Install the equatorial mount unit and align it roughly with the polar axis: Install the main body of the equatorial mount onto the base, and adjust the altitude angle knob and azimuth adjustment lever to make the equatorial mount roughly point towards the North Star direction.
3. Disassemble the ball head mounting base: Rotate the inner ring knob to remove the ball head mounting base of the equatorial mount.
4. Adjust the anti loosening screw on the ball joint connection base: Adjust the height of the anti loosening screw to be slightly lower than the outer ring protrusion.
5. Install the photography ball head: Secure the ball head mounting base to the bottom of the ball head and tighten the anti loosening screw.
6. Install the ball head onto the equatorial mount unit: Align the three protruding grooves inside the ball head mounting base with the grooves on the equatorial mount output base, and then rotate the inner ring knob counterclockwise to tighten the ball head mounting base, allowing the ball head to be firmly installed onto the equatorial mount.
7. Working with shooting devices: Fix the shooting devices onto the ball head through a quick release plate and confirm that the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
8. Preliminary composition and positioning of shooting devices: Release the damping knob of the ball gimbal and point the shooting devices towards the target sky area (such as the galactic core, specific constellations, etc.).
9. Accurate calibration of polar axis: Use an electronic polar scope iPolar or an optical polar scope (optional) to achieve precise calibration of polar axis.
10. Fine composition adjustment of shooting equipment: Combined with long pressing the equatorial mount fine-tuning button and 3D adjustment of the ball head, complete the final composition. Pay attention to gentle operation to avoid displacement of the equatorial mount, which may affect the accuracy of the polar axis.
11. Start shooting: Turn on the power of the equatorial mount and select the tracking rate (stellar speed/half speed/solar speed/lunar speed) based on the shooting target to control the exposure through the shutter line or remote control.
