Introduction:
- The IR Pass filter can block wavelengths below 670nm to enhance contrast and surface details, and reduce line of sight effects when used for IR-LRGB imaging of the moon and planets. At these longer wavelengths, planetary images are less affected by wavefront distortions in the atmosphere. When you move away from visible light and enter infrared, atmospheric visible light and distortion will decrease, and due to the sensitivity of CCD and CMOS sensors to infrared light, infrared imaging will improve your results.

- Fully reduce viewing effects and enhance contrast: Through digital cameras, IR Pass filters can be effectively used for daylight infrared imaging, and can reduce viewing effects and improve contrast when used for lunar and planetary imaging.
- The IR Pass 685nm filter is made of high-end glass and coated with multiple layers using ion assisted deposition technology to ensure scratch resistance and stability of the center wavelength.
- The filter is made of lightweight, sturdy metal and undergoes CNC machining, sandblasting, black anodizing treatment, and then laser engraving. The result is an ultra-thin filter with a net aperture of 26mm.
- Filters can darken the background of the twilight sky, allowing for the shooting of moon and planet mages at dawn or dusk.
